  1. Some of what our DevilPup Mord has to look forward to.... albeit the Ermy versions (softer, kinder;)) ______________________________________ ______________________________________
  2. Suspected US strike kills up to 20 in Pakistan http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/20081027/ap_on_re_as/as_pakistan
  3. Can not detect mines until you step/drive over them. Mines can be placed anywhere. Once found (the hard way) engineers can "mark" the field. IEDs usually can not be detected. The trigger man maybe. At this point, until BFC gets engineering vehicles or sweepers working (or more folks complain about the lack of), you might as well just wait until you hit them then react pg.67 cmsf manual has mark mines
  4. Mord, Your tuggin on this har Gunny's heart strings. It makes me love this country even more seeing someone willing to serve her even in these trying times. Knowing that we have people that are still willing to put it on the line to serve. Makes me proud. You'll do fine, you've got a good head on your shoulders from what this community has seen. The Army is gonna get a fine Soldier and we all get a fine citizen in return. I'd go to "the Pit" with you anyday. I thank you for your service. Here's a "modified" Army version of Piehole. Hang it up, so you can get desensitized before boot. Oh, and get everything in writing from your recruiter:rolleyes: and don't cut your hair before like I did, let it grow give them something to shave or it'll be worse. Semper Fi
  5. MCWP 3-13 w/chg 1 Employment of Amphibious Assault Vehicles (AAVs) http://www.marines.mil/news/publications/Documents/MCWP%203-13%20w_Chg%201%20Employment%20of%20Amphibious%20Assault%20Vehicles%20(AAVs).pdf Select "all sizes" of these images on the flicker page and you can see them at 3000X2000 resolution. 6. We need to get a recruiter out there and get this boy signed to my Beloved Dallas Cowboys. _______________________________________ ______________________________________
  7. Steve Outstanding post on WEGO/RT. Damn you for your facts and figures:mad: Damn me for my Rules and Regulations:rolleyes: I feel so dirty after being pegged so perfectly:o "You'll pry my WEGO from my cold dead hands"
  8. "Just because we're holding hands doesn't mean we'll be taking warm showers together until the wee hours of the morning."
  9. Did you read this? Pop-N-Drop Troops will not dismount until the last waypoint is reached by the vehicle
  10. "Bad Moon Rising" is an entertaining scenario to say the least. Yet a pretty easy one to master. Blue force should sweep out to the left flank and then take hull-down positions at the lines marked, as OpFor comes at you.
  11. OUTSTANDING! I know someone bucking for Devilpup... assuming you mean drones=UAVs, medics=corpsmen, Excalibur=first round impact munitions and Engineering vehicles= Miclics & Grizzlys
  12. dan, don't pull any punches on the engineering vehicles. Heck, we all want the engineering/breaching vehicles up and running. Remember that they might, repeat might, adjust "the list" priority based on customer feedback.
  13. I'd love to see something like that roll through the DOD contractors. NLOS is the first thing I can think of off hand with a FCS that might be convertible. Why it won't work is the Navy won't pay for it. We've got most of our eggs in this basket. EFV link, which I think is a much better investment. The systems on this little beauty are better all around than the AAV7's. MK46 Weapon System. MK44 30/40mm High Velocity Cannon and 7.62mm Coax. Fully Stabilized, Digital Fire Control, Thermal Sight. Accurate firing on-the-move at stationary or moving targets. Provides all-weather/all-night lethality with 30mm MK-44 automatic gun as well as a 7.62 COAX machine gun); Laser Range Finder and FLIR. 90% Probability Hit at 1200 Meters. http://www.flickr.com/photos/huntarr/2949645571/sizes/o/
  14. Until the C2 gets completely squared away and/or much more useful, I see no reason to add command delays to either WEGO or RT. The C2 network, if properly implemented, could be the solution to alot of the command delay questions. I certainly don't see any reason to add another artifical limitation to WEGO. Since it is the exact same game as RT. With the exception you have a set 60 minute "delay" built in. The bonus to WEGO is you have replay. If we were to add a command delay to WEGO and not to RT, that would probably be the last time I would play WEGO and since I only play/test WEGO well.....
  15. Now that you Gents have had some time with your Digital Devildogs, I figure it's time for Mail Call again. _______________________________________ _______________________________________
