  1. Ok folks, here's your chance to determine whether or not CMMOS for CMAK survives or not. I've modified the CMMOS executable to accept CMAK along with CMBB and CMBO. However, CMMOS can't do it's magic without the necessary BMP and WAV file lists. Unfortunately, compiling these lists is one of the most mind-numbing aspects of putting out CMMOS. Our sap, I mean volunteer MikeT has been suffering a bout of computer problems and may have been captured by terrorists. So, this is your chance to vote with your hearts and time. If you'd like to see CMMOS for CMAK, I need volunteers to compile the file list files (e.g., the summer trees consist of BMPs X, Y, Z, the US M10 consists of BMPs A, B, C,). Of course this needs to be done for all the vehicles, terrain, skies, interface components, sounds, etc., in short for anything and everything that folks want to be supported by CMMOS. If you're interested in helping out, please e-mail me at "gordonemolek@poboxes.com" and we'll see about divvying up the work. If not, well then I guess CMMOS will have been voted off the island. Gordon
  2. I have modified CMMOS to work with the CMAK executable. MikeT was going to work on creating all the file listings that CMMOS uses to apply mods properly. Unfortunately he has been beset by a series of computer problems that have delayed him from completing this task. Once that's done, he'll be bundling everything up and posting it for download. Gordon
  3. Just to tie up the loose ends in a nice neat knot, these mods are now released. See Madmatt's topic for details. Gordon
  4. MikeyD, Thanks, if you'd like the original color I can send you a color chip. Might be more accurate than sampling the mod with all the dirt, etc. applied. Just send me an e-mail to "gordonemolek@poboxes.com". Gordon
  5. Don't worry. I'm done for now. I've got to get my head back into the game for working on my from-scratch CMBB KT. Actually, an ultra-detailed Rolls Royce Armoured Car could be very nice if you were looking for suggestions. A "road-warrior" vehicle if ever there was one. Gordon
  6. Ooh, now that hurts. Actually, it all started when I mis-understood Oddball_E8's request for camo Shermans and previewed the Sherman II that I was working on. Then he corrected me and I had to work up the M10. Well, then I had to go and do the Sherman III (early), and then I thought I'd go finish the Crusader Mk II I'd been fiddling with. Then Gautrek has to ask for the 3-tone Grant and I had to stumble onto the picture of the camo Bishop ... Anyway, it's a good thing I retired from this sort of modding. Expect to see them available soon. Gordon
  7. Fernando said it all when he said that it looked like a U.S. Civil War Ironclad with wheels. I'm not sure it needs a make-over. What's the matter, you don't like Mikey Mouse Ears camo? Gordon
  8. Ok, I stumlbed upon this cool scheme for one of the wackiest vehicles in the game, and so I just had to work it up. I still need to rough it up and get it all dirty, but it will be included in the batch upload with the Shermans, M10, Crusader and Grant. Gordon
  9. aka_tom_w and pcelt, They'll all (the M10, Sherman II, Sherman III (early), Crusader II and Grant) be available in the near future from CM:HQ. After they've been posted there, I'll also upload them to CMMODS. Kanonier Reichmann, My guess is that the AFV crews were more afraid of Allied aircraft than Axis AT weapons. They probably encountered the former on a more regular basis than the latter. Oddball_E8, Yes, but most combatans tended to reduce the size of national markings as time went on. Gordon
  10. I know that nobody asked for it, but what the hell. Here's a camouflaged Crusader. Gautrek, The Grant could be interesting, I'll see what I can do. btw, I've got a pair of colors for desert dirt/dust. If you're interested, shoot me an e-mail. Gordon
  11. Paint out the muzzle brake with pink (transparent) colour. </font>
  12. Oh what the hell, I'll throw out another preview while I'm here. Here's the updated camo pattern for the M10 with weathering. I never could understand the logic behind camouflaging a tank and then painting "hit me" stars all over it. Gordon
  13. Ok, as promised, here's the preview of the Sherman III (early). Gordon
  14. I'm just about finished with the Sherman III (early), with just the tactical number left to do. I'll try to post a preview tonight (GMT + 06:00). Gordon
  15. All, You're welcome. WineCape, What a coincidence. I just finished off the last bottle of the batch you sent me. Pookems, I'm glad that's what you're looking for. I'll see about getting them all finished up so that I can get back to my King Tiger. MikeyD, Yup, there were quite a few US camouflage schemes used in Italy, it should be lot's of fun. Siege, I've seen the white star on a blue circle used in Morocco, but I wasn't aware that the blue dot on a white star on a white circle was ever used in combat. Gordon
  16. Oddball_E8, Here's a first draft of an M10 of the 894th Tank Destroyer Battalion at Anzio: Is this what you had in mind? Also, here's an update on the desert Sherman II from 1st Armoured Division: I've started laying out the camouflage for the matching Sherman III (early), but no pictures yet. I guess it's a good thing I retired from modding, or I wouldn't be getting any sleep. Gordon [ February 02, 2004, 10:31 PM: Message edited by: Gordon ]
  17. Ladies, Gentlemen and Grogs, See: Oddball_E8's request for Italian theater camouflaged Sherman mods. I am not familiar with any references for British use of camouflaged vehicles in Italy beyond Sicily and early into the campaign on the mainland. Beyond that, it appears plain Khaki/Bronze Green was the norm. The Kiwis employed a couple of different camouflage schemes, and the Americans used some camouflage early on as well. But, unfortunately, I have no references showing the British use of camouflage in Italy. Anyone out there with references? Thanks, Gordon
  18. Well, a camouflaged Sherman is a camouflaged Sherman. AFAIK, blue black on mid stone camouflage was used in Sicily, and in some cases onto the Italian mainland. I know that there were a couple of seemingly isolated uses of camouflage by US forces in Italy, and the Kiwis had a couple of different schemes in use, but I have no references showing other than blue black on mid stone camouflage on British AFVs early in the campaign. Of course, any references are always appreciated. Gordon
  19. von Lucke and Major Gregg, It's currently just something I was messing around with and it still needs a fair amount of finishing touches, and I'd probably do the Sherman III (early) and release them both at the same time, so no real timeframe, although they're fairly easy to do. MikeyD, Yes, I'm aware of the debate, but I'm firmly in the blue-black on light stone camp. Gordon
  20. Oddball_E8, Yeah, I'd like to see someone do a nice set of 1st Armoured Shermans. You know, like: So, what's up wit dat? Gordon
  21. Please select your rule-set tab containing the Tiger mod, exit CMMOS and e-mail a copy of CMMOSLog.txt to "gordonemolek@poboxes.com" and I'll take a quick look at it. Gordon
  22. Mike, Well, eating and sleeping are optional, at least for a short period of time. Gordon
  23. Yes, I've modified CMMOS to support CMAK and MikeT is working on the filelists, etc. Gordon
  24. They should be there, which ones in particular are you looking for? Gordon
