A question about the Z folder

You can put however many subfolders you desire in the z/Mod folder. For instance (using CMBN as an example) I have one folder for all the effects, Ui, Sounds, etc. I have one that says Germans and within that, subfolders that say uniforms and vehicles. Within the vehicle subfolder I have subfolders for each individual vehicle mod. What I do is keep all the mods I use all the time in these subfolders and then if I want to test something I may already have a mod for, I create a folder I'll entitle "Z Z Z Test". The extra Zs insuring that my test mod will override the similar mod because the game prioritizes the folders that are furthest down the alphabet. Example: folder A with Panther mod is overwritten by folder D with Panther mod. Lots of confusing info can be found here. Mord.

A question about the Z folder

Success - I have modded my CMBS with Kieme's textures and Vein's explosions and fires - respect! I can see that the Z folder is going to become overstuffed like a christmas goose if I am not careful. Does the game read subfolders in the Z folder? Or do all the add-ons have to be in that main folder - I'd like to impose some order on the system in case I need to remove or replace mods.

This horrible stuff has been going on for decades. None of the previous Presidents accomplished anything re NK, and instead they were selling out the west to China - basically acting like the captain of the Titanic - trying to keep everyone calm while the ship was sinking. Am happy to wait and see if Trumpy's unorthodox approaches to everything works. At least the US economy seems to be booming - and that was after everyone predicted economic collapse if he was elected. So, pinch of salt re all the negativity and naysayers...

    How much do you roleplay?

A huge problem re C2/communication delays given the tight time limits of the vast majority of scenarios. I don't think one can play this way normally. However, I definitely play like there are real human lives at stake and am always asking myself what would I do in a given situation, or what can one reasonably expect from the "guys". So, no suicide missions... eg recon till you get shot "just to see what's out there" etc. One of the many aspects of MOS's TOC that is hugely enjoyable is the 4 hour time limit - gives one plenty of time to play as realistically as one wants. It's currently at Beta 9, so you can be sure it's being tested thoroughly.

I can recall you doing this in a few of our matches 😉

    How much do you roleplay?

I pretend I actually know what I am doing. Then when it all falls apart I pretend my pixeltruppen were insubordinate and did not follow the plan. Seriously how I play is largely determined by circumstance- my opponent and their play style or the limitations of the scenario itself if against the AI.

That's what I generally always do. But with really well made scenarios, I like to play them several times and try various tactics. And then it's really great to have a couple of various AI setups and variability within each setup too. So was wondering if this campaign has it.

Antony Beevor's view on War Films

Agreed. And what the hell is a "post modern pc society" as "sublime" calls it? Perhaps it's a branch of PC World that stays open longer than normal.

A British MG position in Sicily. A British AT gun waiting for information about interesting targets. Note that there is an FO team (+radio) with the gun. I tend to do this because the FO team can deliver all information about enemy sightings to the gun. The frontline units spot stuff and tell their superiors. The superiors (battalion level) of ALL units on the battlefield stick together at the command post so that they can share information verbally, even if they' don't share a common superior. By this method, all sightings are shared to all units but it may take a while. So here the FO team is very busy listening to the radio and spotting while the gun-crew has some tea. Of course this only really matters if you roleplay a bit and don't let units area-fire at targets they don't know about.

    A long delayed update

And my Amiga 2000 was the only PC capable of video editing. Neither is relevant to the fact that many Apple fans think being an Apple fanatic makes them superior in some way.

Didn't sound like he attacked anybody to me. Sounds like he is trying to bring some positivity to the table in the midst of all the negativity that's been posted lately. But apparently you aren't gonna let the rotten b****** get away with it. Mord.
